The recommended age to start piano lessons for children is 5 years old. At this age, most children can differentiate between their hands and fingers, can start to read music and relate the written music to the keys of the piano.

Maestro’s Piano Lessons want to help your child to progress as much as possible, and with our experienced and dedicated Birmingham piano teacher, we’ll be able assist them to progress as far as they want to go.

Piano lessons are available at hour or half hour rates for young children, and we recommend between 15-20 minutes practice per day beyond this. As they get older they can sit for longer periods of time, to practise piano. The learning methods will be tailored to evolve alongside with their age.

Maestro Piano Lesson’s Babak Kazemi is a member of Musician’s Union, DBS checked and undertaken various child protection courses such as Child Protection Training and Educare (Child Protection in Education), to safeguard children and promote their well-being. We also regularly make sure our safeguarding training is up-to-date.
